A memorable day...

Yesterday, i was dozing off at work when my major spot me closing my eyes. OKAY, the fact is i did doze off and my head was probably hanging down from my neck then suddenly.

Major Morris: "Hey! WeiJie! You wanna join me for a meeting later?"
WeiJie: *Woke up pretty stunned... Still blur* "Ahh? OH! Sure!"
MM: "Okay, you give me your phone number i call you to come down after my dental appointment."

So i gave him my number, which is like the 3rd time i was giving it to him. Makes me wonder that did he save my number or he forgot that he has my number or did he have 3 phones... HMM. Intriguing question.

So around 10 mins later he did called me down to meet him at the canteen's carpark. WOOT.

Then i  went to the carpark, looked around and dint see him and thus i paced back n forth until i spot this familiar car revving up, which my other major, Major Kerwin owns. I knew Maj Kerwin was still in his office as his cubicle is directly behind my desk. THE CAR WAS AMAZINGLY, a PURPLE MINI COOPER.
The windows and windscreen were tinted in a reflective coat that from the outside, it looks like a mirror. So i tried my luck and opened the door. TADAH! MAJOR MORRIS WAS INSIDE! Going into a 150K car was quite an experience. Well the mini cooper was, surprisingly mini. The first thing i did when i got into the car was, knocking my head on the ceiling handles.

So i had to adjust my seat all the way back so my legs could accomodate in that Mini's mini space. Even so, i still had to keep my neck bent so my head wont touch the ceiling. How Mini is that. Mini as it is, its engines are powerful! It accelerates responsively even while on a steep slope, something which my Toyota Altis isn't capable of even in a downslope. LOL.

The suspension was tight too. You can literally feel every grain of sand on the road. Bumpy bumpy ride.

So major morris drove us all the way to Defense Science and Technology Agency, DSTA for short. So on the way we talked about stuff and major morris taught me about this contractual stuff and how DSTA works for the airforce and all. The place was at Depot Road and i found it damn familiar when we reached. CAUSE IVE BEEN THERE AT THE CARPARK B4, IT WAS JELYNN'S HOUSE THERE. LOL. So after i got out the car i go tell jel i at her house downstairs.

Hmm, so DSTA was a big big building with loads and loads of meeting rooms. First up, we went to have a meeting DSTA people regarding some contract issues. And again, politics in the workplace is dominant, especially when 4 groups of people, all coming from a different company, sits down in a meeting room and have the best interests for their own group. Sarcasm thru jokes, double meaning words, deliberate changes in tone, indirect insults... Bla bla... Loads more.

Then after the hour and a half meeting ended, we went to have lunch in DSTA's canteen. Then major morris taught me about the F-16's radar, something which i will have to research on soon.

After lunch, we went up again to meet the ANG MOHS. People from LOCKHEED MARTIN. Again for the benefit of all mankind, lockheed martin is a company which produces fighter jets, the more familiar ones are the F-16s and the space age looking plane, the F-22 RAPTOR.

So how often do you get to meet these people, Overseas Director of LM, Creative Director of LM, Cheif Engineer of LM.... The list goes on. The meeting was a sales talk on upgrading the F-16s in Singapore... It got pretty boring in the middle and i almost... ALMOST fell asleep.

The meeting have not ended, but we had to go off first as MM needs to return the car to MK, so we left before the meet ended! Reached PLAB at around 6pm and headed back home.
When the pieces came together, i have to believe even when i dont want to. I want out.
