AIRSHOW 2010!

So yesterday i went to the airshow at Changi Aviation Drive, alone! How sad is that?

Hmm, so i asked my mom, who worked around that area how to get there. She told me take 19 from tampines from interchange and walk from there.

Teriffic choice i would say. I took the bus, reach the place my mom worked. A policeman came onto the bus...

"Sir, can i see your airport pass?"

GG. I don't have one.

So i told the policeman that i was going to the airshow and he told me that i could walk there, except the fact that it was QUITE far and maybe i should hitch a ride from the Woodlands Transport bus. He added on it was a 2 minute drive if u go by car.

HE LIED.

SO. I walked... and walked.... and walked somemore. I walked for a freaking 40 mins along the neverending road that passes along the Changi Beach. WOO I FINALLY SEE CIVILISATION! The banner of the Singapore Airshow 2010. I was damn elated and i hastened and walked towards it. I turned to my left and GG.... another neverending road in front of me.

Alright... So i walked right into the road. And there were these policemen on guard along the road. While i walked i saw this sign. "PRIVATE ROAD, DO NOT CROSS". Hmm, i went to ask one of the policemen in the middle of the road.

"Sir, can i go thru to the airshow via here?"

"SURE! U going in by foot? It's very far you know?"

"Yeah, i've walked very far already... "

"OK, go str8 ahead is where the airshow is."

"THANKS!"

"EH WAIT BRO! You'll need this." *Hands me a can of 100 plus*

Oh man, i'm blessed in some sort of way i guess.

Just to show you the distance involved, im gonna post a pic. This was taken when im halfway thru the road to the airshow.

See that? NO U DONT EVEN SEE THE AIRSHOW TENTAGE. The exhibition complex is the only thing u can spot if u look hard enuff. Middle left hand side. SEE THAT?

To add to the trauma, i was wearing formal shirt and jeans. WHY? Trade days all the businessmen go and no slippers or shorts are allowed, and casual formal is already considered underdressed.

Ahha, finally reach the registration tentage. Time taken for travelling there by foot, 1hr 10 mins, +- 10 mins.

So waited there for ard 30 mins until 11 where the counters are open. Then finally got into the airshow!
