New Yorker, me.

Hmmm.. second day of my exchange in New York, Troy here. I wouldn't say I had fun here yet. Its been a hell of a two day journey actually. Now, there's no way its gonna get worse so I think I'll be fine from now?

Yesterday was a complete screw-up. How in the hell did I forget to bring along the most important document to NY!? Stumped myself too. Detained, interrogated and I felt like a criminal apprehended on a foreign soil. Luckily I was still able to make it out of the airport after a grueling 1.5hrs of questioning.

Walked 2km in the chilly rain to the Megabus stop after taking the train. Having a girl around isn't the best buddy to have in such situations, all you wished is that there was some strong friend of yours who had come along with you.

And today, saw the ugly side of acquaintances who wouldn't care a hoot about people from the same hometown as you. It really triggered the anger in me. What makes of these people when they would not lend a helping hand to your countrymen in a foreign land? I had my doubts casted once before and gave them another chance, now they have broken it once again and no way I'm gonna treat them as friends again. Acquaintances are fine for me now unless they break my trust again in these 4 months.

So, had to shift out to another apartment and siemin will stay with the rest in the bigger apartment. I guess this is the second best option there is out there. Just feeling sore at the fact that although I'm the one who helped all of them out to get the accommodations, I became the only one that moved into this apartment because I am left without choice.

Yeah and so I mentioned. Bad start to this trip. What can be worse now.... maybe course registration will fail because I lost that form. I really don't know.

Hope I'll be fine.

On a brightside, the people here are really helpful and I'm loving this attitude. :)
